Trimetallic layered double hydroxides with a hierarchical heterostructure for high-performance supercapcitors

Summary: In this study, a hierarchical heterostructure of MnCo-LDH/NiCo-LDH array is designed on nickel foam, composed of 1D nanoneedles, 2D nanosheets, and 3D hollow nanocages. This structure is synthesized using trimetallic co-doping, in-situ co-precipitation, and hydrothermal techniques. The hierarchical nanostructure exhibits high specific capacitance and energy density, as well as excellent cycling stability.

Summary: Through our research, we have successfully constructed a flexible CS@NCS/CC core-shell hetero-nanostructured cathode material, which has abundant mesopores, stable core-shell heterostructures, and multiple valence states of metal ions. By improving the traditional two-step method of preparing NCS nanosheets into a one-step method, we have greatly improved the efficiency of the material preparation. The CS@NCS/CC material exhibits strong electrochemical reaction kinetics and excellent cycling stability.

Effect of soft template on NiMn-LDH grown on nickel foam for battery-type electrode materials
