Everyday Authoritarianism in North Korea

Summary: The study found that despite social changes in North Korea such as marketisation, information flow, and increased corruption, these social practices have not yet led to collective challenges against the regime. However, it is evident that official norms, rules, and institutions have been significantly weakened to adapt to new social realities.
