Analysis of X-ray images and spectra (aXis2000): A toolkit for the analysis of X-ray spectromicroscopy data

Adam P. Hitchcock

Summary: Spectromicroscopy combines imaging and spectroscopy to analyze samples, providing detailed spatially resolved information about chemical components, alignment, and crystal structure. The aXis2000 software described in this paper allows for the analysis and manipulation of spectromicroscopy data, focusing on soft X-ray methods such as STXM, XPEEM, SPEM, and TXM. Other software with similar capabilities is compared, and examples of spectromicroscopic analyses using aXis2000 are presented.

Synthetically facile organic solar cells with >4% efficiency using P3HT and a silicon phthalocyanine non-fullerene acceptor

Trevor M. Grant et al.

Summary: This study demonstrates organic photovoltaic devices with low synthetic complexity by pairing P3HT with a novel non-fullerene acceptor, (3PS)(2)-SiPc. The binary P3HT/(3PS)(2)-SiPc devices achieved a record power conversion efficiency of 4.3%, showing unique morphology with significant phase separation. AFM and synchrotron STXM measurements revealed the strong crystallization of (3PS)(2)-SiPc contributing to this unique structure.
