Single file diffusion meets Feynman path integral

Pavel Castro-Villarreal et al.

Summary: The study examines the stochastic dynamics of a tagged Brownian particle in an interacting system using the path-integral representation and contrasts it with the standard equations. It investigates the single-file diffusion phenomenon and the mean-square displacement of the tracer particle in terms of Bessel functions. Additionally, it explores the behavior of a Brownian particle system with paramagnetic interactions near crystallization using a perturbation treatment and validates the findings through Brownian dynamics simulation.

Single-file dynamics of colloids in circular channels: Time scales, scaling laws and their universality

Alejandro Villada-Balbuena et al.

Summary: In this paper, the dynamics of interacting colloidal particles moving along a circle are studied, and a new time scale induced by the confining geometry is addressed. Four temporal regimes are identified, and analytical expressions for mean-square angular displacement and crossover times are reported, accurately reproducing experimental and simulation results. This generic approach can be applied to predict long-time dynamics of other confined physical systems.

Effects of the curvature gradient on the distribution and diffusion of colloids confined to surfaces

O. A. Ramirez-Garza et al.

Summary: The study explores the properties and behavior of colloids confined to move on curved surfaces, presents a rigorous algorithm for Brownian dynamics simulations, and examines the effects of curvature on the system properties.
