Improved accuracy in measurement of iodine in animal feeds by ICP/MS with alkaline dissolution

Andreas F. Lehner et al.

Summary: Research has shown that simple alkaline dissolution procedures can significantly enhance iodine recovery and quantitation, outperforming the commonly used acidic digestion procedures. The alkaline dissolution method has advantages in measuring iodine, but is less effective in measuring trace nutrient minerals.

Trace Element Analysis in Whole Blood and Plasma for Reference Levels in a Selected Queensland Population, Australia

Tatiana Komarova et al.

Summary: This study aimed to provide blood reference levels of 21 trace elements in Queensland and found significant differences between males and females, as well as variations with age in the levels of certain trace elements. The study contributes to the understanding of trace element levels in blood and highlights the need for further research in this area.
