Femtoscopic Correlation Measurement with Symmetric Levy-Type Source at NA61/SHINE

Barnabas Porfy

Summary: In this paper, we present NA61/SHINE measurements of femtoscopic correlations of identified pion pairs in Ar+Sc collisions at 150A GeV/c and describe these correlations using symmetric Levy-type sources. The study reveals the space-time structure of the particle-emitting source.

Two-pion femtoscopic correlations in Be plus Be collisions at √sNN=16.84 GeV measured by the NA61/SHINE at CERN

H. Adhikary et al.

Summary: This paper reports measurements of two-pion femtoscopic correlations in Be+Be collisions at a beam momentum of 150A GeV/c by the NA61/SHINE experiment at the CERN SPS accelerator. The results show that the correlation functions can be described well by a Levy distributed source model. The transverse mass dependence of the Levy source parameters is presented, and their possible theoretical interpretations are discussed.

Event-by-Event Investigation of the Two-Particle Source Function in Heavy-Ion Collisions with EPOS

Daniel Kincses et al.

Summary: Exploring the shape of the pair-source function for particles such as pions or kaons has been an important goal of heavy-ion physics. In this study, an event-by-event analysis method is proposed to investigate the source shape using data generated by the EPOS model. It is found that Levy distributions provide a good description of the source shape in individual events, indicating that the non-Gaussian features are not caused by event averaging.
