First Hitting Time of Brownian Motion on Simple Graph with Skew Semiaxes

Angelos Dassios et al.

Summary: This paper studies the first hitting time of a stochastic process living on n-semiaxes emanating from a common origin. The Laplace transform of the first hitting time is derived and explicit expressions for its density and distribution functions are provided. Numerical examples are presented to illustrate the application of the results.

An algorithm to solve optimal stopping problems for one- dimensional diffusions

Fabian Crocce et al.

Summary: This article introduces an algorithm for solving the optimal stopping problem. By using Dynkin's characterization of the value function and Riesz's representation and inversion formula for alpha-excessive functions, we can obtain the density of the representing measure and determine its support. Through this algorithm, we can obtain the solution without verification and obtain the shape of the stopping region. The article also analyzes the generalizations to diffusions with atoms in the speed measure and non-smooth payoffs.

Summary: This paper discusses the stopping distribution problem of Walsh Brownian motion, provides necessary and sufficient conditions for mu to be a stopping distribution of (Z, κ), and determines the minimal stopping times under the balanced condition.
