Effects of dietary Chinese yam polysaccharide copper complex on growth performance, immunity, and antioxidant capacity of broilers

Jinzhou Zhang et al.

Summary: This study investigated the effects of dietary Chinese yam polysaccharide copper complex (CYP-Cu) on the growth performance, immunity, and oxidative resistance in broilers. The results showed that the supplementation of dietary CYP-Cu significantly improved the growth, immunity, and oxidation resistance of broilers. The addition of 0.10 g/kg CYP-Cu in broiler diets is recommended, suggesting that CYP-Cu may be a promising green feed additive in the poultry industry.

Effects of Dietary Cottonseed Protein Concentrate Levels on Growth Performance, Health Status, Flesh Quality and Intestinal Microbiota of Grass Carp (Ctenopharyngodon idellus)

Guoqing Liu et al.

Summary: This study evaluated the nutritional value of cottonseed protein concentrate (CPC) as a sole dietary protein source and determined the optimal protein level for grass carp. The results showed that the optimal CPC level improved the growth performance, health status, and muscle quality of grass carp. The relative abundance of intestinal microbes played a role in promoting the growth, health, and flesh quality of grass carp. Furthermore, different levels of CPC affected amino acid metabolism and energy utilization in the intestinal microbiota of grass carp.
