The structure of intentionality: insights and challenges for enactivism

Firstly, it aims to clarify and develop a significant tension within enactivism regarding the relationships between intentionality and content, post the abandonment of representationalism. In what sense(s) do enactivists (still) argue that intentionality is contentful and not contentful? Secondly, it contextualizes this tension with two paradigmatic approaches in defining the relationships between intentional states and their objects: Husserl’s theory of intentionality in the Logical Investigations and Charles Sanders Peirce’s triadic semiotics.
