The effect of precursor concentration on the crystallinity synchronization of synthesized copper nanoparticles

Md. Ashraful Alam et al.

Summary: Highly crystalline copper nanoparticles were synthesized using the Chemical Reduction Method (CRM) with the help of a capping agent and changing precursor concentration. The study used copper sulphate pentahydrate as a precursor and reduced it with ascorbic acid. The synthesized nanoparticles were characterized using various techniques including X-ray Diffraction, UV-Visible Spectroscopy, Differential Scanning Calorimetry, Thermo-gravimetric Analysis, Transmission Electron Microscope coupled with Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy. The results showed changes in crystallinity, conductivity, particle size, and purity.

Influence of carbonized polymer dot (CPD) structure on mechanical and electrical properties of copper matrix composite

Wenmin Zhao et al.

Summary: The carbonized polymer dots (CPD) with structural characteristics of graphene and carbon nanotubes were successfully synthesized via hydrothermal method and utilized as a nano-carbon reinforcement in pure Cu matrix. The CPD were well dispersed in the Cu matrix and showed enhanced interface bonding with Cu, leading to improved ultra-tensile strength and electrical conductivity in the composite material.
