Sustained remission from perinatal depression after bright light therapy: A pilot randomised, placebo-controlled trial

Corrado Garbazza et al.

Summary: This study aimed to investigate the efficacy and safety of bright light therapy (BLT) for perinatal depression (PND) occurring at any time across the perinatal period. The results showed that BLT induced a significant remission from PND compared to dim red light (DRL) and this effect was maintained throughout the perinatal period. BLT demonstrated an excellent safety profile and was well-tolerated.
