Improvement of (BH)max in Ba-hexaferrite doped with La and Co

L. M. Silva et al.

Summary: Ba-hexaferrite nanoparticles were synthesized using the ionic coordination reaction method, and the effect of La and Co ions on the magnetic properties of Ba0.7La0.3Fe12-xCoxO19 nanoparticles was investigated. It was found that the sample with x = 0.25 exhibited the highest (BH)max of 6.98 kJ/m3.

Magnetic nanoparticles hyperthermia in a non-adiabatic and radiating process

C. A. M. Iglesias et al.

Summary: The study investigates the heat behavior of magnetic nanoparticles during hyperthermia treatment, proposing a theoretical approach and validating it through experiments. It adds physical meaning to the parameter of effective thermal conductance and demonstrates the correction brought by the approach to experimental results for specific loss power and effective thermal conductance. This highlights the importance of heat loss rate due to thermal radiation in magnetic hyperthermia.
