The need to examine behaviors within actual constraints: A systematic review of research using the integrative model of behavioral prediction

Minhao Dai et al.

Summary: This article examines the theory-research gap in Fishbein's integrative model of behavioral prediction (IMBP) and identifies inconsistencies and issues in current IMBP research through a systematic literature search and analysis of quantitative IMBP research articles. The study reveals inconsistencies in measuring attitudes, normative beliefs, and self-efficacy in IMBP research, as well as issues in statistical analysis and variable incompatibility. A small number of IMBP research articles that measure actual control variables are also reviewed. The paper provides directions for future IMBP research, emphasizing the importance of consistent research on actual control variables as moderators between intention and behavior.

Exploring the influence of technostress creators on in-service teachers' attitudes toward ICT and ICT adoption intentions

Qiong Wang et al.

Summary: This study aims to explore the structural relationship among five technostress creators, teachers' attitudes toward ICT, and their ICT adoption intentions. The results show that teachers' attitudes toward ICT have a significant positive effect on their ICT adoption intentions. Techno-insecurity and techno-complexity have significant negative effects, while techno-invasion and techno-overload have significant positive effects. Techno-uncertainty has a significant positive effect on both teachers' attitudes toward ICT and their ICT adoption intentions. The attitude of teachers aged 45 and above is more negatively affected by techno-insecurity. Implications for the management of technostress creators are discussed.
