Summary: In this paper, a monopulse slot array antenna with substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) has been designed and fabricated for application in tracking systems. This antenna has circular polarization and a simple design. The antenna utilizes two modes (TE120, TE210) to excite the slots, rather than a complex feed network commonly used in monopulse antennas. The proposed antenna has good performance in terms of bandwidth, reflection coefficient, difference pattern, sum pattern, polarization axial ratio, and aperture efficiency.

Summary: This paper presents a wideband self-diplexing antenna in SIW technology, solving the narrow radiating bands problem of traditional self-diplexing antennas by introducing stepped-impedance resonant slots. The introduction of a non-radiating slot in the middle improves input matching at both ports.
