Electricity Induced Burns and Lung Injury: A Rare Autopsy Observation

Tanuj Kanchan et al.

Summary: Electrocution injuries are frequently encountered in domestic and occupational settings, often leading to significant morbidity and mortality globally. Autopsy diagnosis of electrocution is typically based on gross and histopathological changes in entry and exit wounds, but not all cases exhibit visible wound changes. In such cases, examining histopathological changes in internal organs along the current path can be helpful in diagnosis. This highlights the importance of autopsy pathology in identifying electrocution as a cause of death.
