The experiment involved both potential and actual tourists, measuring their response time and N400 event-related potential component. The neurocognitive results revealed different patterns in response time and N400 latency between potential and actual tourists when identifying different types of destination personality words, indicating the influence of onsite experience on destination brand personality.

Tourist gaze upon a slum tourism destination: A case study of Dharavi, India
