Analysis of a Stochastic HBV Infection Model with DNA-Containing Capsids and Virions

Qun Liu et al.

Summary: In this paper, a stochastic differential equation model is proposed to investigate the impact of environmental noise on the spread of hepatitis B virus. The existence of a unique global positive solution for the stochastic system is demonstrated. Sufficient conditions for the existence and uniqueness of an ergodic stationary distribution of the proposed model are established using a stochastic Lyapunov function method. Additionally, criteria for the extinction of infected hepatocytes are obtained and numerical simulations are conducted to validate the theoretical findings.

Threshold Dynamics and Probability Density Function of a Stochastic Avian Influenza Epidemic Model with Nonlinear Incidence Rate and Psychological Effect

Baoquan Zhou et al.

Summary: In this paper, a stochastic avian influenza model with a nonlinear incidence rate within avian populations and the psychological effect within the human population is examined. The basic reproduction number, possible equilibria, and asymptotic stability are studied for the deterministic model. A critical value determining the persistence and extinction of avian influenza is obtained for the stochastic model. The impact of noise and the psychological effect on the transmission dynamics of avian influenza is studied using numerical simulations.

Summary: This paper presents a stochastic HBV infection model and investigates its dynamic behaviors. It establishes the existence and ergodicity of the model's stationary distribution, determines the critical value corresponding to the basic reproduction number, and provides conditions for disease persistence or extinction. A CLASSIFICATION OF THE DYNAMICS OF THREE-DIMENSIONAL STOCHASTIC ECOLOGICAL SYSTEMS

Alexandru Hening et al.

Summary: The paper investigates the classification problem of stochastic models of interacting species and proves a variant of Palis' conjecture. The long-term statistical behavior is determined by a finite number of stationary distributions, and there are three general types of behavior that could occur. The classification problem can be simplified by computing Lyapunov exponents. This research provides a rigorous foundation for ecology's modern coexistence theory.

Qing Yang et al.

Summary: In this study, a three-species stochastic food chain model with Ornstein-Uhlenbeck process governing growth and death rates was investigated. The researchers proved the existence and uniqueness of the global solution, verified moment boundedness and asymptotic behavior of the solution, and established criteria for predator extinction and stationary distribution existence. Explicit formulas for mean and covariance of probability density functions were obtained for a linearized system around an equilibrium point, and numerical simulations were conducted to illustrate theoretical results.

Analysis of a Stochastic Phytoplankton-Zooplankton Model under Non-degenerate and Degenerate Diffusions

Xiaojie Mu et al.

Summary: Phytoplankton is an important indicator organism for evaluating water quality and is affected by environmental conditions. This paper presents a stochastic phytoplankton-zooplankton model and investigates the conditions for extinction and persistence. Results show that the intensity of white noise is related to the presence of zooplankton and provides threshold values for controlling phytoplankton and zooplankton. Numerical and real-life examples validate the model and highlight the impact of fluctuating external environment and zooplankton consumption on phytoplankton.

Density function and stationary distribution of a stochastic SIR model with distributed delay

Wenjie Zuo et al.

Summary: In this paper, a stochastic SIR model with strong kernel is transformed into an equivalent high-dimensional stochastic system. The stationary distribution of the model with white noise is obtained by constructing a suitable Lyapunov function, which determines a critical value corresponding to the control reproduction number of the corresponding determined system. Furthermore, an exact local expression of the density function of the stochastic model around the unique quasi-equilibrium is derived.

A Stochastic Non-autonomous Chemostat Model with Mean-reverting Ornstein-Uhlenbeck Process on the Washout Rate

Xiaofeng Zhang

Summary: In this paper, a stochastic non-autonomous chemostat model with mean-reverting Ornstein-Uhlenbeck process is constructed and analyzed. The study considers the stochastic perturbation on the washout rate. Global unique positive solutions and stochastically ultimate boundedness for the new stochastic chemostat system are investigated. The paper also presents conditions for exponential extinction and stochastic permanence of microorganisms. Numerical simulations show that the mean-reverting Ornstein-Uhlenbeck process is an effective method for introducing environmental noise into the chemostat model, and the reversion speed and volatility intensity significantly affect the dynamical behavior of microorganisms.

Summary: This paper presents a stochastic HIV/AIDS model to investigate the impact of random fluctuations on the HIV viral dynamics. The study obtains conditions for the stochastic extinction of the disease and proves that the model has a unique ergodic stationary distribution when a threshold parameter is greater than 1. The authors also provide the exact expression of the probability density function and conduct numerical simulations to verify the theoretical results. The study finds that increasing noise intensities may help control the spread of HIV.

Stationary distribution, extinction and density function for a stochastic HIV model with a Hill-type infection rate and distributed delay

Wenjie Zuo et al.

Summary: In this article, the dynamics of a stochastic HIV model with a Hill-type infection rate and distributed delay are investigated. The author transforms a stochastic system with weak kernels into a degenerate high-dimensional system. The existence of a stationary distribution is obtained by constructing a suitable Lyapunov function, and the critical value Rs0 corresponding to the basic reproduction number is determined. The sufficient condition for the extinction of diseases is derived, and the exact expression of the probability density function near the quasi-equilibrium is obtained by solving the Fokker-Planck equation. Numerical simulations are conducted to verify the theoretical results.

Wong-Zakai approximations and periodic solutions in distribution of dissipative stochastic differential equations

Xiaomeng Jiang et al.

Summary: In this paper, smooth Wong-Zakai approximations driven by stochastic processes using Wiener shift and Brownian motions are studied. It is shown that solutions of random differential equations driven by such processes generate random dynamical systems and converge in mean square to solutions of specific stochastic differential equations. With this result, the existence of periodic solutions and stationary measures for different types of stochastic systems is obtained. Additionally, properties of specific stochastic systems are verified using various methods.

Dynamical systems under random perturbations with fast switching and slow diffusion: Hyperbolic equilibria and stable limit cycles

Nguyen H. Du et al.

Summary: This work focuses on the long-term qualitative behavior of randomly perturbed dynamical systems, particularly certain stochastic differential equations with Markovian switching when the switching and diffusion rates vary significantly. The study shows that under weak conditions, the invariant probability measure of the stochastic system weakly converges to the average equation's occupational measure if the system has finitely many stable or hyperbolic fixed points. Additionally, this research extends to situations where the switching process is state-dependent and provides examples in two and three dimensions to illustrate the results.
