Sense of Place and Sound: Revisiting from Multidisciplinary Outlook

Summary: This study focuses on the relationship between the sense of place and sound in literature and explores the recommended approaches by influential urban theorists, landscape architects, and planners. By identifying sounds in three key categories - auditory experience, sound, and silence, this research proposes a conceptual framework to address the gap between sound and urban studies. The study reveals decisive patterns in the interface between the sense of place and sound context in urban studies.
