Advancing digital economy in Africa: The role of critical enablers

The results indicate that digital infrastructure and human capital development have a positive impact on digital economy growth, while economic policy uncertainty and institutional quality have varying effects. The study suggests that African policymakers should prioritize investment in digital infrastructure and human capital, and provide a stable policy framework.

A predictive model of building initial trust in sharing economy: MULTI-DIMENSIONAL analysis of facebook users in Morocco

Summary: The present study aims to identify factors that influence Moroccan consumers' initial trusting intention towards sharing economy platforms. The study develops a predictive model based on exploratory studies and a survey questionnaire, finding that consumers' personal factors, knowledge-based trust, and external factors play significant roles in their initial trusting intention. Perceived risk, however, does not have a significant influence. The findings highlight the importance of trustworthiness in building initial trusting intention.

The results show that the determinants of using both platforms differ, with Blablacar users influenced by age, educational level, live as a couple or urban environment, while Uber users have an open and more diffuse profile, with a preference for female population.
