The electrochemical performance of LFP is significantly improved by introducing MXene materials, which enhance the electrical conductivity and ion diffusion coefficient of LFP.
Few-layer MXene materials were obtained by etching Ti3AlC2 with HF and ultrasonically exfoliated with dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) intercalation. By compounding it with lithium iron phosphate (LFP) obtained using the solvothermal method, a cathode material LFP/M with excellent electrochemical properties was obtained. LFP/M exhibits ideal rate performance and excellent cycling performance, with an initial capacity of 153.12 mAh/g at 5 C and retention of 95% after 1000 cycles. Compared with the pristine group, its electrochemical performance has a significant improvement. Through various electrochemical analyses, it was confirmed that the introduction of the MXene phase effectively enhanced the electrical conductivity and ion diffusion coefficient of LFP.
