A simplified dispersive solid-phase extraction using a shaped zirconium-based metal-organic framework: Constructing a novel, facile and efficient method for detecting plant growth regulators in citrus fruits

Qingqing Zhang et al.

Summary: A simplified dispersive solid-phase extraction (d-SPE) method using UiO-66-PDMS bead as the sorbent was designed to analyze plant growth regulators (PGRs) in citrus fruit. This method allowed for direct extraction of the targets from homogenized samples using UiO-66-PDMS bead, which could be easily separated with a tweezer, avoiding the need for centrifugation or filtration. The method demonstrated good linearity (R2 >= 0.9995) and low detection limits (0.09-0.17 ng/g), with recoveries ranging from 80.7 to 97.5%. The method was also employed to screen PGRs in ten different citrus fruits.
