Indolent T-lymphoblastic proliferation: a report of three cases

Summary: This study reports three cases of concurrent iT-LBP and benign or malignant lymphoid disorders. In one case, the patient presented with bilateral cervical lymph node enlargement, while the other two cases were peripheral T-cell lymphoma and follicular lymphoma. The results suggest an association between iT-LBP and reactive lymphoid hyperplasia or lymphoma.

Diagnostic Challenges in the Cytology of Thymic Epithelial Neoplasms

Summary: Thymic epithelial neoplasms, including thymoma, thymic carcinoma, and thymic neuroendocrine neoplasms, are rare tumors that make up the majority of anterior mediastinal masses. Fine needle aspirations (FNA) of these masses are challenging to interpret due to the histologic diversity of thymic neoplasms and overlapping features with tumors from other sites. However, with the use of ancillary studies and radiology, FNAs can provide clinically actionable results. This review discusses the utility and limitations of thymic FNAs and highlights the diagnostic features and pitfalls of these specimens.

Type A thymoma: a rare cause of neoplastic cardiac tamponade with long-term survival

Summary: This case report presents a case of cardiac tamponade in a 71-year-old male. Long-term disease-free survival was achieved through multidisciplinary treatment, suggesting that neoplastic cardiac tamponade should not be considered as terminal cancer, even in elderly patients, and requires systematic investigation.
