Factors Affecting Adoption Intention of Productivity Software Applications Among Teachers: A Structural Equation Modeling Investigation

Manuel B. Garcia

Summary: Teachers play a crucial role in educational institutions and productivity software is essential for them to reduce work pressure and focus on quality education. This study aimed to determine the factors influencing the adoption of productivity software by teachers using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). The results showed that perceived usefulness and ease of use of the software are key predictors of behavioral intention, influenced by external variables such as subjective norms, professional reputation, job relevance, output quality, facilitating conditions, and self-efficacy. The findings support the applicability of TAM in the context of productivity software.

Adoption of blended learning: Chinese university students' perspectives

Teng Yu et al.

Summary: This study fills a gap in the literature regarding the adoption of blended learning in the post-pandemic era and investigates the factors influencing behavioral intention to adopt blended learning using the technology acceptance model (TAM) and the theory of planned behavior (TPB). The results show that the integrated model based on TAM and TPB can explain 67.6% of the variance in Chinese university students' adoption of blended learning, and factors such as perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and subjective norms have positive impacts on learning attitudes and the intention to adopt blended learning.

Acceptance of and satisfaction with online educational classes through the technology acceptance model (TAM): the COVID-19 situation in Korea

Jee-Hoon Han et al.

Summary: This study examined the acceptance of online classes among 313 university students using the technology acceptance model. The results showed that perceived ease of use had a positive effect on perceived usefulness, ease of use and usefulness both influenced educational satisfaction, and usefulness and satisfaction influenced acceptance intention. However, ease of use did not impact acceptance intention. The findings suggest that improving satisfaction with online education can be achieved by developing user-friendly online classes.

Technology acceptance and trust: Overlooked considerations in young people's use of digital mental health interventions

Vilas Sawrikar et al.

Summary: The present study investigated the influence of attitudes towards technology solutions on young people's intentions to use digital mental health interventions (DMHIs). The results showed neutral attitudes towards DMHIs among young people, while perceived usefulness and trust of DMHIs were positively associated with higher intentions to use them. These findings suggest a low acceptance of DMHIs among young people and highlight the importance of providing information about their usefulness and trustworthiness.

Summary: This paper offers an updated overview of research on micro-learning as a solution for corporate training, as well as technologies leading to potential commercial solutions. It also introduces a proposal to integrate micro-learning content into traditional Learning Management Systems to benefit from both learning philosophies. The approach is based on a Service-Oriented Architecture deployed in the cloud, incorporating standards like LTI and LIS for data exchange and monitoring student activity. Feedback from educators worldwide shows positive potential for this new approach in higher education.

University Students' Perception of Video-Based Learning in Times of COVID-19: A TAM/TTF Perspective

Debajyoti Pal et al.

Summary: The COVID-19 pandemic led to the closure of educational institutes worldwide, resulting in the rise of video-based learning. A study proposed an integrated model based on the Technology Acceptance Model and the Task Technology Fit Model to explore the impact of adoption factors and moderating factors on student learning. Results showed that individual characteristics had a greater influence on the actual usage of video-based learning compared to technology characteristics.
