A study of primary health care service efficiency and its spatial correlation in China

Summary: This study aims to compare and evaluate the service efficiency of primary health care institutions in China and provide reference for improvement and development. The research findings indicate that the overall efficiency of primary health care services in China is low, with significant geographic disparities. The eastern and economically developed regions have higher efficiency, while the northeastern and northern regions have lower efficiency.

Summary: This study aimed to explore the needs of continuing medical education (CME) for general practitioners (GPs) in Tibet and provide advice for policy, practice, and curriculum development. The survey results showed that priority areas for CME should focus on cardiovascular disease, respiratory disease, and digestive disease. Additionally, a demand-oriented curriculum and staged training plans should be adopted.

Summary: The number of general practitioners in China has significantly increased, with fair allocation based on population but low equity based on geographical area, leading to large regional disparities. Concerned departments should establish and improve incentive mechanisms for general practitioners, utilize Internet+ to enhance service capacity, increase educational input for the western region, and encourage support from the eastern region.
