A network pharmacology integrated pharmacokinetics strategy to investigate the pharmacological mechanism of absorbed components from crude and processed Zingiberis Rhizoma on deficiency-cold and hemorrhagic syndrome

Jiasheng Li et al.

Summary: This study investigated the therapeutic and processing mechanism of Zingiberis Rhizoma (ZR) and Zingiberis Rhizoma Carbonisata (ZRC) on deficiency-cold and hemorrhagic syndrome (DCHS) using network pharmacological technique combined with pharmacokinetics strategy. The results show that these two herbal drugs have potential therapeutic effects on DCHS through affecting complement, coagulation cascades, and platelet activation pathways.

Discovery and identification of quality markers of Sparganii Rhizoma based on zebrafish thrombosis model

Nan Xu et al.

Summary: The present study aimed to determine the quality markers of Sparganii Rhizoma against thrombus through investigations on its antithrombotic effect, content determination, and spectrum-effect correlation analysis. Three phenolic acids were identified to possess anti-thrombotic effects and could be regarded as potential Q-Markers for quality assessment of Sparganii Rhizoma.

Phloretin loaded porous starch (Ph-PS): Preparation, characterization, in vitro release and protective effect against oxidative stress in vivo zebrafish model

Bolin Lian et al.

Summary: Ph-PS, prepared by absorption method, showed improved dissolution rate and antioxidant ability compared to free Ph. The in vitro release study demonstrated higher release amount and faster release rate of Ph from Ph-PS. Additionally, in the zebrafish model, Ph-PS exhibited better reduction of ROS generation and lipid peroxidation than free Ph.

Identifying of Anti-Thrombin Active Components From Curcumae Rhizoma by Affinity-Ultrafiltration Coupled With UPLC-Q-Exactive Orbitrap/MS

Zhenwei Lan et al.

Summary: This study established a reliable screening method to identify 15 active compounds in Curcumae Rhizoma, with C7, 8, and 11 being discovered to possess in vitro thrombin-inhibitory activity and significantly inhibit thrombosis in zebrafish models. Molecular docking analysis suggested that compound 16 may be a better thrombin inhibitor. This targeted therapy approach using bio-active compounds from CR could provide valuable insights for mechanism exploration, quality control, and targeted therapy of traditional herbal medicine.

Quercetin Efficiently Alleviates TNF-α-Stimulated Injury by Signal Transducer and Activator of Transcription 1 and Mitogen-Activated Protein Kinase Pathway in H9c2 Cells: A Protective Role of Quercetin in Myocarditis

Bin Yang et al.

Summary: This study demonstrated that quercetin can alleviate TNF-alpha-induced damage in cardiomyocytes by regulating STAT1 and the MAPK pathway. Knockdown of STAT1 enhanced the protective effect of quercetin, and quercetin restrained the TNF-alpha-induced activation of the MAPK pathway, providing insights into potential therapeutic interventions for myocarditis.
