Probucol attenuates NF-ΚB/NLRP3 signalling and augments Nrf-2 mediated antioxidant defence in nerve injury induced neuropathic pain

Summary: In this study, we investigated the pharmacological effect of probucol in a model of sciatic nerve-induced neuropathic pain. We found that probucol significantly attenuated behavioral, biochemical, and functional deficits through modulation of the NF-κB/NLRP3 signaling pathway and Nrf-2 pathway, highlighting its dual anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects.
