Moreover, these compounds are favored structural motifs in numerous pharmaceutical drugs and natural products, further highlighting their significance. The advancement and discovery of effective methods to achieve these significant compounds have thus received a considerable amount of attention. An overview of the various methods that have been used to synthesize cyclopentenones is discussed in this review, which covers works from 2016 to 2023.
