Continuous broadband tunable Pr3+:LiYF4 laser in the near-infrared spectral range

Zhuang Li et al.

Summary: We present a continuously broadband tunable Pr3+:LiYF4 (Pr:YLF) laser in the near-infrared spectra range pumped by InGaN laser diodes (LDs). The upper energy level of the laser utilizes composite energy levels (3P0,1,1I6). The laser achieves a continuous tuning range of 855 nm to 931 nm (width of 77 nm) for pi-polarization and 850 nm to 912 nm (width of 63 nm) for sigma-polarization, with absorbed pumped power of approximately 9 W at 444 nm. The laser also demonstrates the highest tuning power and widest continuous tuning range to date, with the ability to generate thirteen new wavelengths in the Pr:YLF crystal.

LD-pumped all-solid-state single-longitudinal-mode Pr3+:LiYF4 laser at 915 nm

Zhuang Li et al.

Summary: We report the first InGaN laser diode pumped 915nm single-longitudinal-mode Pr:YLF laser. By inserting F-P etalons with different thicknesses, an all-solid-state 915nm SLM laser with narrow spectral linewidth and high beam quality is achieved. The experimental results are well-matched with the theoretical simulation.

Power scaling of diode-pumped Pr:YLF lasers in the 910 nm spectral range

Zhuang Li et al.

Summary: We reported a high-power continuous-wave infrared laser based on InGaN laser diode pumping of Pr3+: LiYF4 (Pr: YLF). The laser achieved watt-level output powers in the 910 nm spectral range for the first time, with maximum powers of 2.4 W at 915 nm and 2.2 W at 907 nm. The negative thermal lensing in Pr: YLF successfully explained the quadratic dependencies of output powers on absorbed pump power for both wavelengths.
