Zeyu Tian et al.

Summary: With the development of public transportation industry, electric public transportation (EPT) has potential for energy storage. This study builds a dynamic simulation model of a virtual power plant (VPP) consisting of EPT groups and other units, and proposes a coordinated control strategy to maximize the utilization of EPT and ensure the stability of VPP. The strategy includes two modes of gaining benefits and peak shaving consumption. The study shows that the optimal number of EPT and the daily benefits can be determined to achieve the dual-carbon target.
