Impact of big data resources on clinicians? activation of prior medical knowledge

Sufen Wang et al.

Summary: This study reveals the impact of big data resources on the activation of prior medical knowledge for clinicians. Findings suggest that big data quality environment and big data sharing environment directly facilitate the activation of prior medical knowledge, while the big data service environment also directly affects the activation. Moreover, the big data deployment environment and big data service environment have indirect impacts through the big data quality environment, service environment, and sharing environment.

A mixed methods approach to determine the climate of interprofessional education among medical and health sciences students

Nabil Sulaiman et al.

Summary: This study conducted among medical, dental, pharmacy, and health sciences students in the University of Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, showed that all students are ready to adopt Interprofessional Education (IPE) and have positive attitudes towards it. The focus group discussions highlighted three main themes: prior knowledge, the need for IPE framework and its implementation, and perceived barriers including information workload and less focused teaching pedagogies. Educators are encouraged to integrate new IPE programs into existing curricular frameworks to enhance collaborative learning and improve patient care quality.
