Education Liaison improves implementation of school accommodations for students with sickle cell disease

Summary: This retrospective study found that children with sickle cell disease who had contact with an Education Liaison were more likely to receive neuropsychological testing and educational accommodations. The study suggests that incorporating Education Liaisons in comprehensive care teams can improve access to appropriate educational help for children with sickle cell disease.
