Insights into the local structure, microstructure and ionic conductivity of silicon doped NASICON-type solid electrolyte Li1.3Al0.3Ti1.7P3O12

Jianping Zhu et al.

Summary: Silicon doping negatively affects the ionic transportation in grain bulk, but can increase grain boundary conductivity and total conductivity to around 10(-3) S.cm(-1) by inducing the segregation of LiTiOPO4. This finding highlights the critical importance of adjusting secondary phase for microstructure and ionic conductivity of solid electrolytes in the development of inorganic fast ionic conductors.

Vertically Aligned N-doped Carbon Nanotubes Arrays as Efficient Binder-free Catalysts for Flexible Li-CO2 Batteries

Xuelian Li et al.

Summary: The Li-CO2 battery is a promising energy storage system that converts and utilizes CO2 in a green way. To address the challenges of high polarization, short cyclic life, and poor rate capability, this study developed vertically aligned N-doped carbon nanotube arrays on Ti wire as cathodes for flexible quasi-solid-state Li-CO2 batteries. This innovative approach led to improved performance in terms of cycle life, potential gap, rate capability, and flexibility, providing a new option for CO2 conversion and utilization as high-performance energy sources.

Catalytic mechanism and design principle of coordinately unsaturated single metal atom-doped covalent triazine frameworks with high activity and selectivity for CO2 electroreduction

Lele Gong et al.

Summary: This study establishes design principles for screening highly active electrocatalysts for CO2 reduction, with an intrinsic descriptor found to correlate the molecular structures of active centers with catalyst activity and selectivity. The coordinately unsaturated Ni-doped covalent triazine framework (Ni-CTF) is identified as one of the best electrocatalysts, showing lower overpotential for CO2 reduction and inhibiting the formation of side products. Compared to other catalysts, TM-CTFs exhibit higher catalytic activity and stronger inhibition of side products.
