The Use of Telemedicine in Older-Adults During the COVID-19 Pandemic: a Weekly Cross-Sectional Analysis in Ontario, Canada

Summary: The COVID-19 pandemic has led to the rapid adoption of telemedicine among older adults, with telemedicine visits outnumbering in-person visits. Psychiatrists delivered the highest number of telemedicine visits, and urban residents had a higher rate of telemedicine use. Among dementia patients, high telemedicine users had higher healthcare utilization compared to low telemedicine users.
