Assessing Gender Bias in Particle Physics and Social Science Recommendations for Academic Jobs

Summary: This study investigated gender bias in letters of recommendation and its potential influence on the under-representation of women in Experimental Particle Physics. The results showed little gender differences in the letters, but there were disparities favoring women in social science and men in EPP.

The Implicit Association Test: A Method in Search of a Construct
