Detection of porcine parainfluenza virus type-1 antibody in swine serum using whole-virus ELISA, indirect fluorescence antibody and virus neutralizing assays

Summary: This study developed an indirect fluorescence antibody (IFA) assay, a whole virus enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (wv-ELISA), and a serum virus neutralization (SVN) assay for detecting PPIV-1 antibodies. The results showed that the wv-ELISA had a significantly higher area under the curve (AUC) compared to the IFA. However, there was no significant difference between the IFA and wv-ELISA when compared to the SVN. All three assays demonstrated relatively uniform results, with minimal disagreements.

Development of a Blocking Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay for Detection of Antibodies against African Swine Fever Virus

Summary: The study developed a highly specific and repeatable blocking ELISA for detecting ASFV infection, with a diagnostic sensitivity of 98.11% and diagnostic specificity of 99.42%. The test was able to detect seroconversion as early as 7 days post-inoculation.
