Snapshot hyperspectral imaging polarimetry with full spectropolarimetric resolution

Tingkui Mu et al.

Summary: The snapshot optically replicating and remapping imaging spectropolarimeter (ORRISp) combines spectrally-modulated polarimetry with optical replicating and remapping imaging to recover spectrally-resolved Stokes parameters from a 2D scene. The prototype demonstrates spectral and spectropolarimetric imaging performance, covering a spectral range of 450 - 750 nm with 56 channels and a field of view of +/- 5.8 degrees, operating at video rate.

Design of channeled spectropolarimeters

Nathan Hagen

Summary: This paper presents design and tolerancing guidelines for constructing channeled spectropolarimeter systems using high-order retarders. The discussion includes selecting appropriate retarder thicknesses, accurately aligning the elements, tolerancing the retarders, and analyzing the effect of different polarizer types on system performance.

Snapshot polarized light scattering spectroscopy using spectrally-modulated polarimetry for early gastric cancer detection

Abudusalamu Tuniyazi et al.

Summary: Polarized light scattering spectroscopy (PLSS) is an optical technique developed for cancer detection, extracting the single scattering light to infer morphological information of epithelial cells. A snapshot PLSS method with a single optical path is proposed for the first time, encoding and decoding the single scattering light using spectrally-modulated polarimetry and the continuous slide iterative method. This method has the potential for future use in building snapshot PLSS endoscope systems.
