Vanishing set of inverse Jacobi multipliers and attractor/repeller sets

Summary: This paper explores conditions for the zero-set of the inverse Jacobi multiplier of a smooth vector field to contain its attractor/repeller compact sets, extending previous results on sink singularities and orbitally asymptotic limit cycles. Several examples are presented using different flows on the torus and the sphere to illustrate the findings.

Jacobi Multipliers in Integrability and the Inverse Problem of Mechanics

Summary: This article reviews the general theory of Jacobi last multipliers in geometric terms and applies it to various problems in integrability and one-dimensional mechanical systems. Within a unified framework, the explicit form of Lagrangian equations for dynamical systems can be derived using known constants of motion via Jacobi multipliers, with examples provided to illustrate the theory. Additionally, geometric results on Jacobi multipliers and their role in studying Hojman symmetry are presented.
