Measurement-device-independent three-party quantum secure direct communication

Yi-Piao Hong et al.

Summary: In this study, a measurement-device-independent (MDI) three-party quantum secure direct communication (QSDC) protocol based on polarization-spatial-mode hyperentanglement is proposed. It can resist possible attacks and enhance the security of three-party QSDC under practical experimental conditions. In one round of communication, two parties can each send 2 bits of secure messages to the third party. Our MDI-3P-QSDC protocol has potential applications in future multipartite quantum communication field.

A novel quantum identity authentication protocol without entanglement and preserving pre-shared key information

B. Devendar Rao et al.

Summary: This article proposes a new quantum authentication protocol based on quantum secure direct communication using single photon, which can assist in verifying the identity of a legitimate user without revealing the pre-shared key. The protocol addresses the issue of Eve obtaining important information about the pre-shared key in existing protocols by using random authentication keys and decoy states to check for the presence of Eve. The security of the proposed protocol is analyzed against impersonation attacks, intercept measure-resend attacks, and entangle measure attacks, and it does not require quantum memory or any other entangled sources, making it feasible with current technology.

Rational quantum secret sharing scheme based on GHZ state

Xiaodong Zhang et al.

Summary: In this paper, a new rational quantum secret sharing scheme based on GHZ state is proposed, which encodes the secret with the link between measurement base and measurement result to achieve secret sharing among n agents. Comprehensive security analysis shows that the presented scheme can defend against eavesdropping attack, entanglement attack, and collusion attack. Moreover, it is also proven that the new protocol can achieve correctness, fairness, strict Nash equilibrium, and k-resilient equilibrium, which are required by rational secret sharing protocol. Compared with existing schemes, our scheme is simple, achieves stronger balance, and is feasible in practical application as a relevant protocol has been implemented on the IBM quantum computer recently.

Quantum Key Agreement Protocols with GHZ States Under Collective Noise Channels

Ji-hong Guo et al.

Summary: This paper proposes quantum key agreement protocols that can resist collective noise based on the measurement correlation of logical GHZ states in order to improve the efficiency of the protocols. The efficiency analysis shows that the protocol has a qubit efficiency of 28.57%, which is higher than other protocols. Also, the security analysis proves that the protocols are resistant to external attacks and participant attacks.
