On the Construction of Indigenous Chinese Communication Theories: An Analysis of the Cultural Roots

Summary: This study examines the cultural origins of indigenous Chinese communication theories. Through qualitative content analysis, the study identifies three main categories of indigenous Chinese communication theories: tapping into the essence of traditional Chinese culture, visualizing and modeling Chinese cultural factors, and integrating the strengths of both Chinese and Western cultures. The findings have implications for communication studies both within and outside of China, offering complementary and mutual benefits.

Organising dissonance on the Tibetan plateau: insights from the wisdom of nonduality

A group of scholar-teachers, committed to addressing various critical social issues, came together to challenge dominant ideas, paradigms, and structures within and beyond organizational communication. Through engagement with decolonization and social justice, they aim to cultivate scholarship, pedagogy, and public engagement. The forum aims to present the collective as a sharp provocation to decenter theorizing and pedagogical practices in organizational communication and other fields.
