Telehealth assessment of autism in preschoolers using the TELE-ASD-PEDS: A pilot clinical investigation

Telehealth Evaluation of Pediatric Neurodevelopmental Disabilities During the COVID-19 Pandemic: Clinician and Caregiver Perspectives

Summary: This study investigated clinician and caregiver perspectives on telehealth neurodevelopmental evaluations during the COVID-19 pandemic, showing the effectiveness of remote evaluations, the impact of technology and family barriers, and the satisfaction levels of clinicians and caregivers. Results indicated that most cases in remote evaluations received a clinical diagnosis, with clinicians having a certain level of certainty in their diagnoses. Despite challenges, clinicians and caregivers expressed high satisfaction with various aspects of telehealth.

A scoping review of telehealth diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder

Summary: This paper examines the use of telehealth for diagnosing ASD and finds that it is a feasible and effective method, with accuracy ranging from 80-91% compared to in-person diagnosis. The majority of caregivers, adult participants, and clinicians express satisfaction with telehealth for diagnosis. However, further research is needed to confirm the accuracy and validity of this method.

Tele-Assessments in Rural and Remote Schools - Perspectives of Support Teachers
