Lung ultrasound (LUS) in pre-term neonates with respiratory distress: A prospective observational study

Summary: The aim of this study was to evaluate the diagnostic use of lung ultrasound (LUS) in neonatal respiratory distress and its ability to predict the severity of the disease and the need for surfactant therapy. The results showed that LUS had good agreement with clinical and X-ray diagnoses and could effectively predict the need for surfactant therapy.
