Impact of ZnO on structural and electrochemical properties of silver spinel ferrites for asymmetric supercapacitors

The AgFe2O4@10%ZnO composite exhibited a higher specific capacity, power density, and energy density, indicating its suitability as an electrode material for supercapacitors.

Summary: By incorporating Co0.9Cu0.1S nanoparticles (CCS NPs), the linear and nonlinear optical characteristics of polyvinyl alcohol/polyvinyl pyrrolidone (PVA/ PVP) polymeric blend were successfully tailored. The introduction of CCS NPs led to changes in the optical energy bandgap, Urbach energy, refractive index, and optical sensitivity of the PVA/PVP blend. This paves the way for their applications in optical and photonic devices.

Structural characteristics and electrical properties of lanthanum-doped nanoferrites synthesized by sonochemical method

Summary: In this study, Mn0.5Cu0.5LaxFe2-xO4 nanoferrites with different compositions were synthesized using an effective sonochemical reactor. Optical, magnetic, electrical, and structural properties of the nanoferrites were investigated. The results showed that an increase in La3+ ions led to a decrease in crystallite size and conductivity, while enhancing soft ferromagnetic behavior. The saturation magnetization decreased and coercivity increased with increasing La content.

Measurement of the elastic properties of epoxy resin/polyvinyl alcohol nanocomposites by ultrasonic wave velocities

Enhancement of the optical properties of PVP using Zn1-xSnxS for UV-region optical applications

Summary: In this study, the optical properties of PVP polymer were enhanced by using ternary Zn1-xSnxS as filler for UV-region optical applications. The prepared polymeric composite films showed improved refractive index and optical conductivity compared to the plain PVP, making them suitable for UV-region optical applications. The interaction between Zn1-xSnxS material and PVP polymer was successful, resulting in a shift in the direct optical energy bandgap and cut off transmittance edge in the polymeric composite films.

The structure and optical properties of PVA-BaTiO3 nanocomposite films

Summary: This study aimed to synthesize BaTiO3 nanocrystalline particles using the tartrate precursor process, and then prepare nanocomposite films with PVA. Analysis using XRD and FTIR showed complex interactions between BaTiO3 nanoparticles and the PVA matrix. As the concentration of BaTiO3 nanoparticles in the PVA matrix increased, the optical band gap decreased while the Urbach energy increased.

Investigation of the mechanical and electrical properties of SnS filled PVP/PVA polymeric composite blends

Summary: The mechanical and electrical properties of SnS filled PVP/PVA polymeric composite blends were investigated in this study, showing improvements over a temperature range. With SnS filling, the glass transition temperature of the composites shifted to higher values. The experimental results suggest that the prepared SnS filled PVP/PVA polymeric composite blends have great potential for industrial applications.

Exploring the structural and optical properties of FeS filled graphene/PVA blend for environmental-friendly applications

Summary: This study investigates the influence of iron sulfide (FeS) content on the structural and optical properties of graphene/polyvinyl alcohol (Gr/PVA) blend for environmentally-friendly applications. The results show that increasing FeS concentration in the blend enhances crystallinity and reduces the optical bandgap. Additionally, the refractive index and optical conductivity of the blend can be significantly improved through FeS filling, making it suitable for eco-friendly applications.
