Effects of Optical Beams on MIMO Visible Light Communication Channel Characteristics

Jupeng Ding et al.

Summary: This paper introduces typical commercial non-Lambertian beams into the conventional analytical VLC channel model for the evolution of visible light communication under 5G. The results show that these non-Lambertian beams significantly affect the frequency response characteristics of VLC channels. Among them, the Side Emitter optical beam deviates the VLC channel capacity by approximately 56/8%, opening up new dimensions for enhancing VLC transmission performance.
