Energy metabolism response of Litopenaeus vannamei to combined stress of acute cold exposure and waterless duration: Implications for physiological regulation and waterless live transport

Summary: Combined stress disrupts the energy metabolism homeostasis in Litopenaeus vannamei, leading to changes in energy metabolism indicators in the hemolymph and tissues. Prolonged stress accelerates anaerobic metabolism and inhibits aerobic metabolism, resulting in reduced energy biosynthesis and disturbance of energy metabolism equilibrium. In addition, combined stress causes injury to the hepatopancreas tissue in L. vannamei.
