Summary: There are significant differences in premature cardiovascular disease (CVD) mortality rates among US counties, with higher rates in counties with higher social vulnerabilities. The mortality rates for CVD increase stepwise with increasing social vulnerabilities. Ethnicities/races and rurality play a role in the disparities of CVD mortality rates in counties with higher social vulnerabilities.

Racial Segregation and Respiratory Outcomes among Urban Black Residents with and at Risk of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease
