Research on the impact mechanism of environmental regulation on green total factor productivity from the perspective of innovative human capital

Wei Jin et al.

Summary: Improving green total factor productivity (GTFP) is an important way to achieve sustainable development. This study analyzes the impact of environmental regulations on GTFP and constructs a GTFP evaluation index system. The results show that China's GTFP continues to improve, with an agglomeration effect in the eastern and western regions. Under the role of innovative human capital, the threshold effect of China and the eastern and western regions is significantly positive.

Environmental regulations and inwardFDIin China: Fresh evidence from the asymmetric autoregressive distributed lag approach

Summary: This study uses the nonlinear autoregressive distributed lag (NARDL) approach to investigate the relationship between environmental regulations and FDI in China. The findings suggest that environmental regulations and FDI move together in the long-run, and there is evidence of asymmetry. The study supports the existence of both the Pollution Haven and the Pollution Halo hypotheses in China.
