Reliability design of a pressure vessel made of composite materials

Luigi Solazzi et al.

Summary: This research evaluates the reliability of pressure vessels made of composite materials in terms of stress and burst pressure, with results showing that the weight of carbon fiber vessels is only 17% of steel vessels, and the reliability of components made from composite materials is similar to those made from steel or aluminum alloy. The study also considered geometric variations, material properties, and layer numbers in the evaluation of component reliability and deterministic safety coefficients.

A Deep Reinforcement Learning-Based Energy Management Strategy for Fuel Cell Hybrid Buses

Chunhua Zheng et al.

Summary: In this research, a deep reinforcement learning (DRL)-based energy management strategy (EMS) is proposed for fuel cell hybrid buses (FCHBs), taking into account fuel cell durability. The method improves fuel economy and convergence speed by limiting action space and adopting Prioritized Experience Replay (PER).

A Speedy Reinforcement Learning-Based Energy Management Strategy for Fuel Cell Hybrid Vehicles Considering Fuel Cell System Lifetime

Wei Li et al.

Summary: A fast reinforcement learning-based energy management strategy for fuel cell hybrid vehicles is proposed in this research, achieving near-optimal results with reduced fuel consumption and extended fuel cell system lifetime through optimization using a pre-initialization framework. Simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the strategy in both training and validation driving cycles.

Design of composite layer and liner for structure safety of hydrogen pressure vessel (type 4)

Gunyoung Park et al.

Summary: To ensure the structural safety of hydrogen pressure vessels, optimization of thickness and shape, winding angle of composite, as well as design of aluminum boss shape is necessary for lightweighting and increased inner capacity. Verification of the optimal design was conducted through FEA.

Defect Detection in the Winding Layer of CNG Composite-Wound Cylindersvirtue of minimal mechanism is that it allows

Hui Lv et al.

Summary: This study used finite element simulation and infrared thermal imaging technology to investigate the impact of winding layer defects on the temperature behavior of cylinders during filling. The results show that defects in the winding layer act as a source of thermal resistance, hindering heat transfer, with a more serious defect causing greater hindrance. Based on this principle, an evaluation model based on the R parameter was developed to quantitatively correlate the maximum R value to defect depth, providing a practical approach for rapidly detecting and evaluating defects in cylinder winding layers.

Numerical Analysis of Filament Wound Cylindrical Composite Pressure Vessels Accounting for Variable Dome Contour

Kumar C. Jois et al.

Summary: This study focuses on investigating the stress distribution along cylindrical composite pressure vessels with different dome geometries, and the influence of each dome contour on stress distribution at the interface. It is found that the dome geometry significantly affects stress distribution and the failure mechanism of the pressure vessel.
