Search for the anomalous ZZγ and Zγγ couplings via ννγ production at the CLIC

S. Spor et al.

Summary: The non-Abelian gauge structure of the Standard Model implies the presence of multi-boson self interactions. Precise measurements in experimental and theoretical studies of these interactions allow for testing the nature of the Standard Model and the contribution of new physics beyond the Standard Model. This study focuses on examining the anomalous neutral triple gauge couplings through the process e-e+ -> Z gamma using both unpolarized and polarized electron beams. The obtained results provide more stringent sensitivity for the anomalous neutral gauge couplings compared to the latest experimental limits and related phenomenological studies.

Hadron collider probes of the quartic couplings of gluons to the photon and Z boson

John Ellis et al.

Summary: This study explores the experimental sensitivities of measuring the gg -> Z gamma process at the LHC to the dimension-8 quartic couplings of gluon pairs to the Z boson and photon, comparing them with the sensitivities in the gg -> gamma gamma process. Calculations of scattering and decay angular distributions are performed, and the ATLAS measurements are analyzed for sensitivity. Future proton-proton colliders are also considered for potential measurements.

Role of dimension-eight operators in an EFT for the 2HDM

Sally Dawson et al.

Summary: The article discusses the Standard Model effective field theory (SMEFT) and its application in studying deviations of Higgs couplings. By considering the matching between the effective theory including dimension-eight operators and the 2 Higgs doublet model (2HDM), as well as taking into account the limits from direct production of single Higgs bosons and indirect limits on the Riggs trilinear coupling, the importance of assumptions about the expansions in powers of the high scale is numerically examined.

Light-by-light scattering at future e+e- colliders

John Ellis et al.

Summary: This study investigates the sensitivity of possible CLIC and FCC-ee measurements of light-by-light scattering to new and old physics, including various theoretical models. The results show that these measurements can provide insights into the new physics scales and the masses of new particles in certain scenarios. The study also explores the sensitivities within the Born-Infeld theory.

The study of neutral triple gauge couplings in the process e+e- → Zγ including unitarity bounds

Qing Fu et al.

Summary: The neutral triple gauge couplings (nTGCs) provide an unique opportunity to probe new physics beyond the Standard Model, which can be described by effective field theory valid under certain energy scale, and the coefficients of nTGCs in the process e(+)e(-) -> Z gamma should be constrained by partial wave unitarity bounds, with experimentally obtained results tighter than unitarity bounds to be meaningful.

Top, Higgs, diboson and electroweak fit to the Standard Model effective field theory

John Ellis et al.

Summary: The search for effective field theory deformations of the Standard Model is conducted through a global approach in the framework of the Standard Model Effective Field Theory. The analysis includes constraints on the coefficients of SMEFT operators and explores specific ultra-violet completions of the Standard Model, but does not find significant evidence for physics beyond the Standard Model.

Constraining CP violating operators in charged and neutral triple gauge couplings

Anke Biekotter et al.

Summary: Using LHC measurements and predictions, CP-violating charged and neutral anomalous triple gauge couplings with subsequent lepton decays have been constrained. Analyzing differential asymmetries for triple gauge couplings involving W bosons, results are interpreted within the SMEFT dimension-six framework. Dominantly constrained by high transverse-momentum bins, neutral triple gauge couplings are presented with bounds in terms of a general anomalous couplings framework.

Impact of dimension-eight SMEFT contributions: A case study

Sally Dawson et al.

Summary: The use of the Standard Model effective field theory Lagrangian is common in studying Beyond the Standard Model effects in collider experiments. This study focuses on a specific BSM model with a charge-2/3 heavy vectorlike quark and computes the operators generated at dimension eight. Numerical effects of these operators on the $t\bar{t}h$ process are found to be around 0.5-2% for allowed parameter values.

New CTEQ global analysis of quantum chromodynamics with high-precision data from the LHC

Tie-Jiun Hou et al.

Summary: The new parton distribution functions (PDFs) from the CTEQ-TEA collaboration are determined using a wide variety of high-precision Large Hadron Collider (LHC) data, in addition to other datasets. These PDFs are analyzed at next-to-leading order and next-to-next-to-leading order, with error sets determined using the Hessian method. The data sensitivity and preference towards quantities such as α(s)(m(Z)), and the gluon and strange quark distributions are quantified using fast PDF survey techniques.
