The role of Li+ interstitial ions in up-conversion intensity of CaF2:Yb3+, Tb3+ phosphors

M. Y. A. Yagoub et al.

Summary: In this study, CaF2 nanocrystals doped with Yb3+, Tb3+, and Li+ ions were investigated to study the correlation between their structural, electronic, and up-conversion emission properties, focusing on the role of Li+ ions in enhancing the up-conversion intensities. The results showed that Li+ ions doping plays a vital role in enhancing both blue and green emission intensities under 980 nm excitation wavelength.

Enhancement of green emission from Ca14Al10Zn6O35: Tb3+ phosphors via cross-relaxation energy transfer by ions

Fan Liao et al.

Summary: In this study, Tb3+ doped Ca4Al10Zn6O35 phosphors were successfully prepared using a traditional solid-state reaction approach. It was found that increasing Tb3+ concentration enhances cross-relaxation energy transfer processes, and the introduction of Li+ ions successfully enhances the green emission from Tb3+ ions.
