Title: Cobalt(II) pseudoclathrochelate complexes exhibit an intermediate trigonal prismatic-trigonal antiprismatic geometry. According to PPMS data, they show SMM behavior with Orbach relaxation barriers of approximately 90 K. Paramagnetic NMR experiments confirm the persistence of these magnetic characteristics in solution. Therefore, targeted delivery of this 3D molecular platform to a specific biosystem can be accomplished through straightforward apical functionalization without significant changes.
